1. How The Treatment Feels Like?
Extremely fine, hair-thin, flexible needles are placed at specific points on the energetic pathways, known as meridians. When the needles are inserted, you may experience a sensation of tingling, warmth, heaviness, or a feeling of Qi moving up and down the meridians. People are surprised to find that acupuncture treatment are actually quite relaxing, and many fall asleep during treatment. We may also use the following adjunct techniques within your session: Moxabustion, GuaSha, Cupping, and Auricular Therapy.

2. Is Acupuncture Safe?
When performed by a competently trained, licensed professional, acupuncture is extremely safe. All licensed acupuncturists today use individually package, sterile, disposable needles. So there is virtually no chance of infection or contagion.

3. How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?
That depends on the duration, severity, and the nature of your complaint. You may need only 1-3 treatments for an acute condition. A series of 6-10 treatments may resolve many problems. Some degenerative conditions may require many treatment over time. To help reduce the number of treatments, we may suggest dietary modifications, specific exercise regimes, self-massage, and /or Chinese herbal medicines, all of which may help to increase the efficacy of acupuncture.

4. What Can I Expect After Treatment?
Patients often experience dramatic results in the first 3-6 acupuncture treatments. Some patients have immediate total or partial relief of their pain or other symptoms. This relief may last or some pain may return. In a few cases, there may be no immediate relief only to notice the pain diminish over the next couple of days. Generally, you should expect to feel better.
